Zeppoli, An Italian Christmas delite

Zeppoli are to me the most easy of an Italian Cookie to make.  Around the Holidays, Our Mom use to make this all the time at Christmas or right before. It is so tasty and hits the sweet craving you might have .

I will give you our Mom's recipe

You will need...

Pizza Dough
Rolling Pen
Flour to dust with
Powder Sugar for dusting
deep frier or deep pan for frying


On a flat surface roll out your dough
cut your flat dough with a knife or pizza wheel
twist your dough with the palm of your hands one going one way and the other hand opposite direction until it is twisted
heat oil
place twisted dough in oil and fry until golden brown all all sides
remove from oil and place on paper towel to absorb the excess oil
allow to cool then dust with powder sugar

This is a yummy cookie and so festive around Christmas time. I hope you  will enjoy this treat  as much as we did when our mom made them for us.
