Roasted Whole Chicken with my old fashion Buttermilk Cornbread





How do you roast a Chicken? well it is pretty easy. This is my simple recipe for Roasted Whole Chicken and my Southern Old Fashion Buttermilk Cornbread

For the Chicken you will need

1 whole Roasting Chicken
3 tbs of ground garlic
2 tbs of course black pepper
1 whole lemon
2 tbs of UN salted butter

Directions

Wash chicken and pat dry
rub butter all over chicken inside and out
squeeze lemon and pour over chicken
rub pepper and garlic all over chicken
place a meat thomator in center of chicken
place in a roasting pan with a rack
bake at 350 until brown and leg can pull apart easily


Old Fashion  Buttermilk Cornbread

You Will Need

2 1/2 cups of Aunt Jemima Buttermilk Corn Meal Mix( Self Rising)
1 1/2 cups of Buttermilk
1 egg
3 tbs of cooking oil
1/2 can of cream corn
1/4 cup of sugar

Directions

Grease a 9 inch cake pan
mix all of your ingredient in a blender
pulse to get all of the batter on the side you will have to spoon the edges
mix until batter is completely mixed
Pour into your Cake Pan
Bake at 350 until brown and done in the center you can use a tooth Pick
